For Several Days, a Little Girl Came Up to My Door and Ran Away — When I Decided to Find Her Parents, I Discovered Something Completely Unexpected

For several days in a row, the same little girl kept appearing at my door. She would stand there for a moment, then suddenly run away. I started to worry about her and decided to find her parents — and that’s when I discovered something truly surprising 😲😱

Almost every day, exactly at noon, the same girl would show up outside my door. She was adorable, neatly dressed, with rosy cheeks and a small teddy bear in her hand.

She would stand completely still and look straight into the doorbell camera — as if she were waiting for something.

At that hour, I was usually at work, so I couldn’t open the door to find out who she was or why she kept coming. Every time, the scene played out the same way: the girl would press the doorbell, wait a minute or two, and then disappear around the corner. There was no car, no adult anywhere nearby. With each passing day, I felt more and more uneasy. Where were her parents? Why was such a young child wandering around alone?

I started to fear that something bad might have happened.

One evening, I couldn’t take it anymore and went to the police with the recordings. The officers quickly identified the girl’s family address and summoned her mother to the station. And that’s when something completely unexpected came to light 😲😱WHEN THE WOMAN WALKED IN AND HEARD WHAT THIS WAS ABOUT, SHE SUDDENLY BURST OUT LAUGHING.

“I’m sorry,” she said, wiping tears from her eyes, “but my daughter is at that age where everything fascinates her. We live nearby and often walk down this street. Every time we pass your house, she says, ‘I want to say hello to that lady!’ She runs up to your door, rings the bell, and then comes back to me. I always wait by the gate.”

I was speechless.

“But why my house in particular?” I asked.

The woman smiled even more broadly:“You may not remember it,” she said, “but one summer you gave my daughter an apple when she fell. Since then, she’s been convinced she should come every day and wish you a nice day.”

I looked at the sergeant, and then we both burst out laughing. It turned out that the “mysterious girl” was simply a sweet child who came every day to say “hello” to someone who had once shown her a little kindness.
